5 Mock Tails for Dry January

OK so this is my third year in a row I’m doing a dry January. I figured I should talk about it. It’s a great thing; I love it I always feel great, more healthy and get sick less when I do this! If you want to try it here are some ideas. Let me know if you have any questions, I have more cool health blogs on my website. Check it out if you like.

Dry January mock tails

Are you like me and millions of others in the world ready to detox from holidays parties and celebrations? Dry January is a great way to sleep better, increase productivity, increase energy, and decrease depression. Not drinking for 31 days COULD turn into a few months or more, but let’s start small.

Are you ready to do “conscious drinking”? Decide when, how much and often; starting without, for 31 days.

Here are some mock tails that copy some of my favorite drinks; some of these have actual health benefits!

1. Virgin Hot Toddy; grab some orange spice tea (decaf if you like), some honey and an orange and lemon slice. Add some Boiling water and enjoy! I like mine decaf before bedtime helps with sleep ☕️

2. Moscow Mule; make sure you use the copper mug for full effect. A bottle of ginger beer (I like zero sugar) a couple slices of lime and some lime juice if you have it! Great for digestion!

3. Cranberry spritzer: cranberry juice, sparkling water and a splash of bitters. Good for UTIs, tummy aches and looking cool 😎

4. Coconut, Cucumber, Lime, and Mint Cooler; coconut water, muddled cucumbers, a lime wedge and mint leaves 🍃 this is great cooling drink and goes well with a meal to aid digestion.

5. Tart cherry sparkling water. Tart cherry juice is amazing for sleep, joints, brain function and inflammation. Add some sparkling water to tone down the tartness. Drink before bed for good sleep 🛌

We Will be sampling drinks like these, and more in our healthy eating jump start class on January 15.
