Virtual Honoring our Ancestors

This event will be streamed Virtually live, while simultaneously being taught in person. Since this is a music event, sound quality may vary.

Join us for a gentle yoga flow and live musical performance dedicated to our Ancestors. Pedro is an Indigenous Mayan musician, language teacher, and founder of Maya T’aan Oregon. Pedro will play his Ancestral instruments & flute music while we move and breathe in honor of our Ancestors. Veronica Rising Moon is an Indigenous Shoshone yoga teacher and the founder of YAHAW: Yoga And Healing Arts Wellness. This class will be suited for all levels.

We will have an alter with offerings to our Ancestors so please feel free to bring an alter item and collect it after the workshop. After our movement practice, Pedro will give a presentation on the Mayan language and teach the participants how to write their names in Mayan Glyphs as a gift for participants to take home to remember this special event. This workshop will be taking place during Native American Heritage Month with a Land Acknowledgement and Yoga Lineage Acknowledgment weaved into the practice.

Available in-person and virtually. Space is limited for in-person so reserve your spot now for a one-of-a-kind experience as we honor all of our Ancestors from all 4 Directions: North, South, East & West.

Visit yahaw.org to read more about Veronica and her Indigenous yoga teaching style.

Cost: $25 for virtual attendees.
